Montreal based Godin Guitars has ntroduced a new series of incredibly affordable, Canadian made guitars to its Seagull acoustic line-up. The new Seagull Excursion series will make their official trade show debut at the upcoming Summer NAMM Show in Nashville, TN from July 11-13th, 2013.

Handcrafted in the village of Princeville, Quebec, Canada, the Seagull Excursion series models are rugged, packed full of tone and come with a very attractive street price of…wait for it…$299.00!

“It was not an easy task to create a Canadian made acoustic guitar with this level of build quality while making it so incredibly affordable. Really, it’s astounding at this price point!” says Godin’s Sales & Marketing Manager Mario Biferali. “This series is a direct response to what our Seagull dealer base & their customers wanted, and they sound fantastic. A big tip of the hat to our team in Princeville Quebec who rose to the challenge and made it happen!”

Available in Parlor, Folk and Dreadnaught body sizes, the Seagull Excursion series was created to inspire and excite the acoustic guitar market and the Seagull dealer base. These instruments feature wild cherry top, back & sides made of a 3-layer lamination of real hardwood, silver leaf maple necks, rosewood fingerboards & bridges, burn stamped rosettes and natural custom polished finishes. Also, similar to the S6 Slim, the Excursion models feature the Seagull Slim neck with a 1.72” nut width, which is great for players who are more accustomed to a more traditional nut width. Optional Fishman Isys+ electronics are also available.
