Shure Europe has announced details of its 2014 guitar competition ‘Play for LA’, to track down Europe’s up-and-coming talent. Regional winners will each bag themselves a Shure Beta Digital Wireless Guitar Pedal System, plus more guitar gear, and will be flown to Los Angeles for three days to attend NAMM 2015 - everyone’s favourite music show.
The competition is open to budding guitarists across Europe, providing they are over 18 and aren’t already earning money regularly from playing guitar, or playing full time. Entrants will simply download backing tracks, choose a style from pop/rock, metal or funk and upload one video of themselves playing along to their chosen track to the Shure ‘Play for LA’ Facebook page between 2nd June and 31st July.
The four national winners will be chosen by Shure, one winner from UK, BeNeLux, Germany and France, and announced late August.
Two runners up from each country, will each receive a Shure GLXD16 wireless system for guitarists and bassists, with digital pedal board format receiver that combines automatic frequency management with true digital diversity. For those looking to try it out, the Shure digital wireless system is being showcased at Shure Centres throughout Europe this summer.
